Personalized Convention Letter
Here is a letter we did for the American College of Sports Medicine.
I would like to take credit for the letter, but I can't. Debbie LaChusa from www.10StepMarketing.com wrote the letter, and it's good.
It's a personalized letter, even thought it is on a very busy letterhead. They are offering a briefcase if you stop by, also a good idea.
This sample isn't signed, but we did have the same writer that hand addressed the envelope, sign the letter, and handwrite the sticky note that says 'Hope to meet you at IHRSA! -Dick'.
As you can see from the email I inserted below, they got a great response.
Here is an interesting note. We mailed these to people that were attending the convention. They got the list from the company that ran the convention, the IHRSA. It is a really cool idea as I don't think people get personalized letters from vendors of conferences.

Subject: IHRSA - a success!
If Dick hasn't e-mailed you already he probably will. We had a line at
the start of the show; people with letters in hand. We have collected
at least 25 letters and more business cards for people who didn't bring
their letter. We had more traffic in the first 90 minutes of this show
than all of last year. AND our booth was about 75 yards from the main
entrance so people came straight to us. It was very neat.
We received (Dick especially) so much thanks on the personalization of
the letter. Many said that is why they stopped by. The letter made the
show a success! And we have 2 days to go. -Hope
